Ehrlich gesagt finde ich ihn oft überdreht und hyperaktiv. In meinem Kopf war GaryVee jemand, dem Quantität viel wichtiger ist als Qualität.„Crushing It!“ konnte dieses Vorurteil glücklicherweise überhaupt nicht bestätigen. GaryVee verzichtet auf ellenlange "Rags to riches"-Anekdoten und Life Coach Blabla. Er kommt schnell auf den Punkt, untermauert alles mit nachvollziehbaren Details und meistens auch mit eigenen Erfahrungen.In dem Buch lernt man die meisten Social-Media-Plattformen kennen, erfährt aber auch, dass es wichtig ist, sich nicht von einer Plattform abhängig zu machen. Die beispielhaften Geschichten von anderen Entrepreneuren liefern ein hübsches Kaleidoskop an möglichen Wegen zum Geschäftserfolg in einer Welt, die von Social Media durchdrungen ist. Vom Format her erinnert das Buch daher angenehm an „The $100 Startup“ von Chris Guillebeau.Was mich aber am meisten beeindruckt hat: GaryVee ist ein Visionär. Er hat schon auf die Karte „Social Media“ gesetzt, als die meisten noch gemütlich und oft arrogant in ihre analogen Sesseln gepupst haben. Gerade in Deutschland gibt es meiner Meinung nach immer noch viel zu viele Menschen, die die Digitalisierung aus Hochmut oder Besitzstandswahrung ignorieren. Und gerade für diese Menschen wäre dieses Sachbuch goldrichtig. Aber wahrscheinlich würden sie es nur hochmütig belächeln...PS: Allen Jugendlichen, die als Berufswunsch "YouTube-Star" angeben, sollte man dieses Buch in die Hand drücken :-)

Das Buch beschreibt Anekdoten von diversen Lesern von „Crush it“ und wie sie es dank diesem Buch geschafft haben. Die Anekdoten sind sehr kurz gehalten und geben nicht wirklich eine Einsicht. Im gesamten Buch gibt keine wirkliche Quintessenz, welche der Leser mitnehmen kann. Viele Erfolgsgeschichten beschreiben die schwierige Ausgangslage und den immensen Erfolg, den der Podcast, Blog oder die SocialMedia-Kampagne ausgelöst haben. Jedoch gibt es keine Beschreibung, wieso z.B. der YouTube-Kanal das richtige Instrument für das Geschäftsfeld ist und was die Erfolgsfaktoren des Kanals sind.Das Buch liest sich mehr wie eine Werbung für Crush-it und vermittelt null Inhalt.Deshalb kann ich von diesem Werk nur abraten und verweise auf das in die Jahre gekommene Original Crush-it.

Gary beschreibt auf seine spezielle Art und Weise wie man jede einzelne der top Platformen fürsich am besten benutzen kann. Dabei nimmt er kein Blatt vor dem Mund und verschönert oder verziertdie harte Arbeit und Schwierigkeiten mit denen man es am Anfang zu tun hat nicht. Am Schluss gibt er sogar einen Tippwas die nächste große Nummer werden könnte und wonach man seine Fühler ausstrecken sollte. Für jeden der sich als Unternehmer versuchen will führt kein Weg an Gary vorbei! Zum empfehlen.

Great book and I definitely recommend it to anyone running a business.I haven't read the first one but from what Gary wrote, you don't really need to. You can get all the info in this book and ideas of how you can use the social media to your advance.The book is filled with cases of how people used social media to succeed (either knowingly or by mistake) and how they are making they living thanks to it.

Tired of your 9-5 job? In this book, Gary Updates his framework on how to build a personal brand and become an entrepreneur in order to be able to leave your disliked day job (at some point).Also a great read for marketers or people who are generally interested in social media platforms and how they impact society.Side note: the author is patiently reading his own book and sometimes even deviates from the content, a bit. I like it - but find out for yourself, if you are also captivated by his amazing energy!

Als Ratgeber wenig Neues, außer man ist kompletter Neuling im Thema Social Media. Enttäuschend und daher eine klare Nicht-Kaufempfehlung

Ich kann die Bücher von Gary nur empfehlen, bin ein richtiger Fan. Ist halt Englisch, aber geht schon, ist leicht verständlich geschrieben.Auch seine anderen Bücher sind sehr lesenswert
